Ontario PC leader John Tory made a stop at ETM while on tour around the province. John Tory shared some of his career in media and law before becoming PC leader. Tory said he spent the first 1.5 years as PC Leader in rural Ontario to learn the issues and understand its needs. Tory also leaned of rural issues during his time as MPP for the riding of Dufferin—Peel—Wellington—Grey. Tory discussed the issues of rural Ontario and importance of retaining jobs in rural communities. Economic development, LHINS and Ontario infrastructure were also discussed. Tory visited Huron Industrial Park including Goderich Aircraft before stopping at ETM.
