Elgin County Railway Museum St. Thomas Ontario Tour

In June of 2005 ETM paid a visit to the Elgin County Railway Museum in St. Thomas Ontario to investigate the prospect of having the Southern Ontario Locomotive Restoration Society (SOLRS) No.9 steam engine return to Huron county and provide public tours to boost tourism in the county. While there, a tour of the museum revealed the many historic Locomotives and trains , as well the political complications that may see the museum close and have to relocate. SOLRS Vice-President Rebecca Else and volunteers Don Broadbear Chief Mechanical Officer and son Roy Broadbear were on hand to speak of the history and the No.9 steam engine. Museum tour guide Charlie Sterne walked through the history of the Locomotives at the museum with Dan Byelis of ETM.
