South Huron and Bluewater Get Federal Provincial Recreation Grants
South Huron and Bluewater received funding from the federal and provincial governments to upgrade their recreation facilities. In South Huron the grant will allow for a new sportsplex in Crediton, and upgrade the community centre and pavilion in Crediton to be barrier free. In Bluewater the funding will be invested in energy efficiency upgrades to Zurich arena. South Huron mayor Ken Oke and Bluewater mayor Bill Dowson were present at South Huron town council to thank the governments for the funding. Huron-Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell stated over $100 million has been invested in Huron-Bruce through the stimulus package. Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb noted the commitment of the federal and provincial governments to work together to get results.
