Record Crowds At 8th Annual Mopar Canadian Nationals
40,000 spectators filled the grounds and packed the grandstands at Grand Bend Motorplex July 20-22 2007 for the 8th annual Mopar Canadian Nationals, the largest turnout in the Motorplex’s history at the biggest racing weekend of the year. Grand Bend Motorplex owner operator Paul Spriet says the event draws people from all over North America and is a win for everyone. Paul says visitors are amazed of all the amenities at and around the Motorplex in the area compared to other racing facilities. South Huron mayor Ken Oke also stopped some fans to ask them of the event and had some comments for the opening ceremonies.
