The last Volvo road grader produced in Goderich was on display at the Maitland Centre with employee signatures written on it surrounded by a gathering of dignitaries, employees and the public. Volvo Motor Grader GM Jay Davis opened his speech explaining how they are transitioning employees into other areas of work since it was announced to close the Volvo Motor Grader plant in Goderich last year. Jay handed over the key to the last road grader manufactured in Goderich to Huron County Warden Ken Oke today, the county will use the grader for the next ten years free of charge. Ken Oke followed with a speech on the 100 year history of the road grader plant.
