Minister of Transportation Announces Grant For Connecting Links [Extended Coverage]

Minister of Transportation Hon. Donna Cansfield announced a grant of $751,000 for the connecting links in Goderich.
Central Huron Reeve Bert Dykstra was present to hear the announcement that will benefit Central Huron also. Bert also provided some news and progress of the new council in Central Huron. Mayor of Goderich Deb Shewfelt was also on hand to receive the good news ans thank the Minister for the importance of the grant.
Huron-Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell was with the minister to make the announcement and stated Saugeen Shores will receive $158,000, and Central Huron $36,000 through the connecting Link agreements. Carol says she will continue to work hard to improve the riding through other funding programs.
The provincial Connecting Links program helps municipalities repair designated municipal roadways and bridges that connect two ends of a provincial highway through a community or to a border crossing.
